Tharanga hitted 19 fours and 3 sixes and scored 174.It is the career-best performance by Upul Tharanga. Due to his best performance Sri Lanka scored 1-348 off their 50 overs.

The openers scored 213 runs for the first wicket, with Jayawardene making 107, hitting 9 fours and 2 sixes off 112 balls.
India faltered badly in this match and bowled out at 44.5 overs with 187 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja top-scored form Indian side with 49 not out but Sri Lanka spinners Herath (3-37) and Sachithra Senanayake (2-46) kept a tight grip on the India.
Tharanga became the 9th Sri Lankan batsman to pass 5000 runs in one-day internationals.
